Dataslicers is one of the most important tools when working with ABC Analyzer.
Use dataslicers to dive into your data, and see a smaller section of it.
- Choose to see items from a certain supplier or purchaser.
- Combine several dataslicers to see exactly the items you want.
Setup dataslicers
Click the cogwheel located on the right inside ABC Analyzer.
- Choose the column you want to slice on
- Click "Add"
- Optional: Change the layout of the dataslicer to fit your task at hand
- You can delete, edit or add slicers using the cogwheel at anytime.
Use data slicers
Once you start using your dataslicers, the slicing will affect your data in all tabs. If you have set up a slicer on the column ”Purchaser” and selected “Anders”, then you'll only see his items in Overview, KPI, Data etc.
Combine several slicers
For each dataslicer you turn on, the selection is narrowed. Meaning: if you slice on “Purchaser = Anders" and the column “Stock surplus” less than 1500, you will only see items for which:
- Anders is responsible AND
- The stock surplus is lesser than (<) 1500
Clear all dataslicers
Often you end up with many dataslicers when working with your data. Clear all dataslicers at once using the “Clear all dataslicers”-button at the top.
Clear a single dataslicer
Right-click the dataslicer and click "Clear"
Select all values except one
You can choose all values in a dataslicer, and deselect one. Use it if you want to see all ABC categories except "dead items", or product groups except "xxx" etc. Right click and select "Mark all", click the one (or more) you don't want to see.
Turn slicing on/off
You can turn the slicing on and off by clicking the ON-OFF button. Use it if you have large data sets, or whant to setup a lot of slicing.
At the bottom in the right corner, you can always see how many items that are left ”after slicing”.
Save as a report
When you have found a selection of your data you want to save, save it as a report.
From "Overview" or "KPI" create a click report - and click “Save”.
